This policy explains what information we collect when you use surfacemdskin.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
Surface MD is the physician-formulated skincare line of Teleface PLLC, doing business as Surface MD, based in Denver, Colorado, USA. We operate this website, surfacemdskin.com. For anything privacy-related, email support@surfacemdskin.com.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum we need to run the shop:
- Newsletter email. If you join our newsletter, we collect your email address. The signup form is processed by Netlify Forms, the form service of our hosting provider.
- Order details. When you place an order, your name, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment card are collected and processed by Square, Inc. on Square-hosted checkout pages. Payment happens entirely on Square's systems — we never receive or store your full card number.
- Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider, Netlify, records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- fulfill and deliver your orders;
- send order updates, including confirmations and tracking;
- send the newsletter you asked for, with product news and skincare guidance;
- respond to your support requests;
- prevent fraud; and
- comply with the law.
What we don't do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers named in this policy — Square, which processes payments and order fulfillment, and Netlify, which hosts the site and processes the newsletter form — and where the law requires us to. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts; when your browser requests those font files, Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address, governed by Google's privacy policy.
Email marketing
We only send marketing email if you subscribed to it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can always email support@surfacemdskin.com to be removed instead.
Cookies & local storage
The shop saves your product selections in your browser's local storage so your routine is still there when you come back. That information stays on your device.
We do not set any advertising trackers today. If we add analytics or advertising pixels in the future, we will update this policy with a new effective date. Square's hosted checkout pages are governed by Square's own privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, US state privacy laws — including those in California and Colorado — give you rights over your personal information: to know what we hold about you, to access it, to correct it, and to delete it.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@surfacemdskin.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. We will never treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
